Fishing and Gardening

I couldn't resist taking another picture of these cute puppies.
I'm so in love with these soft, adorable creatures! 🥰

We had another fishing day with Grandpa at Ashton Reservoir.
We didn't have any luck catching fish, but nobody else seemed to be having luck either.
We did see an Ospray nest.
These birds would swoop down and catch fish in their talons and then take them back to their nest.

Daddy and I did a lot of gardening.
Daddy prepared the front flower bed, while I planted 2 rows of lettuce, cabbage, beets and cauliflower.
I also set up the sprinkler system.
I really hope our garden will grow. 🤞🌱

Staples Removed

Grant had his staples removed.
Grant felt like they were pinching his head when the nurse removed them.

Grant's scar left on his head.
James was also seen by the doctor.
He received some sort of bug bite, we think, on his right arm, just above his wrist, about a week ago.
The bite has expanded, it's very itchy and puss has been coming out of it all week.
Now we can feel a little lump further up his arm.
The doctor thinks the bite has become infected, so he prescribed some antibiotics.
Hopefully this will help, otherwise James will return back to the doctor next week.

Cozette's Puppies

One week ago, on April 17th, Cozette delivered 6 puppies.
One of the puppies was born dead.
Disturbingly Cozette ate it.
But she had 5 healthy female puppies.
There are 4 black ones, and one white and black one (a party Yorkie).
They are so adorable.
We love them to pieces!!! 🐕❤️

Ouch! Tough Grant!

Grant and James were wereing outside on the trampoline about 10 days ago.
James was swinging around a metal golf club and accidentally whacked Grant in the head.
Grant came screaming inside with his head bleeding.
After cleaning it and trying to super glue it to no avail, we took Grant to the doctor.
He had his head stapled shut with 3 staples.
Grant was tough and barely flinched when they put the staples in his head without numbing him.
Tomorrow he gets his staples removed.
Yay!!!

Enjoying the Outside

We have such kind neighbors.
One of our neighbors offered to plow anyone's garden for free.
We tried to pay him, but he said if we were willing to be self-sufficient and do the hard work of gardening, then he would plow for free.
We have planted some onions and radishes so far, with plans to plant more this weekend.

Last Saturday we went hiking at the Menan Buttes.
There was more people there than at a Supermarket.
I guess everyone was wanting to get out on such a beautiful day during quarantine time.
Even Roper, our little Yorkie came, and hiked with us.

Sunday Night Indexing

Joyanne is the youth family history consultant.
She had been motivating all of us to do more family history work.
For the last 3 Sundays Joyanne, Noah, Hiram and Jaden have spent the evenings indexing.
It's been great to see them involved in such a great work!

Home Quarantine Activities

Some activities we have enjoyed during this Covid-19 Pandemic Quarantine time has been kite flying, LOTS of game time, and tv TV watching.
We have grown closer as a family and enjoy being together.
Sometimes we just want to get out and escape, but we are finding great ways to fill our time.

Fishing with Grandpa

Homeschooling has its rough times when one or both of you don't want to do the work.
But, when you stick it out, with patience, you both learn a lot. 😏

Grant, James and I were able to go fishing with Grandpa last week.
We enjoyed getting out in the beautiful weather even though we didn't catch any fish.
We did see a muscrat swimming in the water, and collected some rocks to paint.
♥️We love time with Grandpa!♥️

Grant's Gash on His Head

James and Grant were outside jumping on the trampoline.
James started swinging around a metal golf club and accidentally whacked Grant in the head.
Grant came in screaming in pain.
His head had a gash and was bleeding a lot, like head wounds do.
Thankfully Dad is working from home and was able to come out and help.
After cleaning Grant's head, we tried to Super glue the gash, but it wouldn't stay together.
We tried a liquid bandage, but that didn't work either.
Finally we took Grant in to the doctor and he got his head stapled shut.

In ten days he gets his staples removed.
Now if I can keep this energetic boy safe from any more injuries.🤪😏🌝

Saturday Crazy Fun!

These boys were all given a piece of licorice and the moment was just right to take a picture of them.
So here are the Bills Boys! 🙂

Joyanne brought pizza from her work for our lunch.

The hail starting falling down and everyone wanted to race out into the crazy weather.

Even Dad joined the fun to run in the hail.
You can't see the hail very well in the pictures.

Thankfully the weather was good earlier in the day and we did an Easter egg hunt and dyed Easter Eggs.
Grandpa Bills was with us and enjoyed watching our fun craziness, and played the game, Hearts, with us.

Happy Birthday 🎉 Joyanne!!!💗

Joyanne turned 18 in March.
Now she is an adult.
And she's so ready to move out and go to BYU.
But, she will have to wait a little longer until this Corona Virus passes.
She is going to do Spring semester online.
Joyanne received more glow in the dark stars to put in her room, some pots and pans, and a book called "The Talent Code".

For breakfast Joyanne requested Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes.

Doesn't this look scrumptious with the strawberry sauce on top?🍓♥️

For lunch she had an Asian Broccoli Salad that tasted as good as any restaurant.

Chocolate Peanut butter Cheesecake was Joyanne's splurge for her birthday.

Happy 18th Birthday, Joyanne.
♥️ We Love You!!! ♥️
