Happy Halloween

The kids had a Halloween Parade at School where they were able to show off their costumes.
All the costumes were pretty awesome to see and so unique.
Jaden was a cute yellow M&M, while Hiram was a Dementor, and James made an adorable lion.
Grant and I enjoyed watching all the festivities.
I enjoyed dressing up all day, taking Grant to Library Story Time, and then going trick-or-treating on Main Street with all the kids.
What a way to spend the day!
The night was spent eating mummy dogs and watching "Back to the Future" 1 and 2.

Halloween Orchestra Concert

Bath time is lots of fun when you have oodles of bubbles and Styrofoam letters to go fishing for.
Grant is living bath time.

Joyanne played her violin in her Halloween Orchestra Concert.
She has an amazing musical ability and it's wonderful to see her sharing her talents for others to enjoy.
It was fun to see all the variety of costumes.
Joyanne looked crazy in her pink pajamas and ratted hair.
Their concert ended with a song from "The Hunger Games" called "The Hanging Tree".
They had a soloist sing a little, but all together it was great!

Red Ribbon Week

It's Red Ribbon Week at all the kids schools.
They had crazy hair, Hat and Tie day.

Grant had a blast fishing for letters in the bath.
He told me the letter names and sounds.
Then we made words with them.

We've been having fun reading books about bears and playing with our teddy bears.

Joyanne is doing great at her online schooling, but she does miss all the social opportunities public school brings.

Noah's Dominoes Time

It's Dominoe time!
Noah loves to take the dominoes and create all kinds of wild, fun designs.
His name looks pretty cool in cursive with the dominoes.
He had me record him knocking them down.
It looked pretty cool.

It was pajama day at school. Who doesn't love wearing their pj's all day?!

Red Riding Hood at her Recital

Joyanne dressed up as Red Riding Hood for her piano recital.
They had a mini carnival afterward with a donut eating contest, a pumpkin walk and some other fun activities.

Joyanne's piano teacher is Emily Ezola, a professor at Utah State University.
Joyanne is learning a lot and continuing to improve at the piano.
Way to go, Joyanne!
Keep up the great work!

Busy Haunting

Haunting at the Haunted School has taken a lot of our family's time and energy.
We have enjoyed spooking, but we are glad this is the last week too.
All of the actors have done amazing.
We have some exceptionally dedicated actors.
We have had pretty good business and it has been fun to do this for the community.
So if you haven't been to see the Garland Haunted School, you should come check it out!

Halloween Family Party

We held our annual Halloween family party at The Haunted School of Garland.
The kids had lots of fun on the bounce houses and climbing ropes.
The food tasted delicious that everyone contributed.
Several family members went through the Haunted School.

Our haunted house had live snakes and spiders in it.
It was a great night for everyone.

Way to go, Daddy-O!

Daddy received the Public Safety of Excellence award.

It was a great honor for Daddy.
They had a banquet and we stayed at a very nice hotel in Midway, Utah.
I highly recommend the Zermatt Hotel as a great place to stay.
They have a spa, exercise room, indoor and outdoor pools with a hot tub, Shuffle Board, miniature golf and beautiful views, especially in the fall.
The place is surrounded by mountains, and as we took a stroll around, the fall colors were beautiful.

Our kids stayed home and took very good care of themselves watching movies and playing games.

We celebrated little Joseph's 6th birthday tonight with pizza, cake, presents and fun.
We love getting together with these cousins.

Carry On

Our haunted house still is going with lots of people coming to check it out and get a good scare.

Daddy struggled with effects from his job today.
Someone he had tried to talk to, encourage and help hung themselves while in jail.
His job has tough and saddening aspects.
He doesn't often get to see the benefits of the help he offers others.
More often than not he deals with the negative sides of people.
He tries so hard to help, serve and protect all people.
He can use our prayers right now as he grieves and works through this.

It was special to hear and see.

We had a lot of fun family time together.

General Conference

We have enjoyed General Conference the last 2 days.
Even the kids were all excited for it.
They love that we set out activity tables and treats to sit back and enjoy conference.
Noah, Daddy and others helped work on this great puzzle that Aunt Becca and Uncle Bryon gave us.
It's a puzzle of Nauvoo.

We were privileged to have John and Wanita here with us this morning.
They were good company.

Conference filled our spirits and uplifted us.
We are happy about the 3 New apostles called.
