Zumba in the Cold

A few weeks ago there was no school for 2 days because we had lots of sickness going around our schools.
They had the janitors come in and completely sanitize the schools.

Because their was no school, Joyanne and James came to exercise with me at Zumba.
James decided to take lots of pictures of Joyanne and me.

I love working out to music.
Zumba is so fun, and I love my friends who I get to work out with.

New Hamster Cage

We have had 2 different hamster cages.
One we've had for a quite a few years, but after duck taping it and trying to keep it together, we finally threw it away after getting my sister's hamster cage that she was trying to get rid of.
Well, that hamster cage ended up not working out to well either.

So, I spent about $50 at Petsmart and got this rocketship cage.
It works so well, has 3 layers, and the hamster really enjoys it too.

Winter Girls' Camp

Our Young Women went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a night to go camping.
If you can call sleeping in a hotel, camping. 😆😆😆
This was one of the shops we visited.

This lady just loves the color purple and was in heaven when she saw this area.

We also went ice skating. Joyanne has the yellow scarf.  She is pretty good at ice skating.

We bonded with the young women a lot.
I am grateful to be the assistant camp director and love to be with the young women.

Remembering Grandma Cheryl

Grandma passed away on January 1st.
We had her viewing 2 days later and her funeral was on Friday, the 4th.

Grandpa was strong, and though he was tired, he was cheery visiting all the people.

Suzanne, her daughter, was by her mom's side the whole time, like she had been the 2 months before.
Suzanne was amazing as she cared for her mom through the cancer.

Daddy and his 4 siblings

The beautiful flowers Daddy's work sent him.

One of the sad moments Grandpa had while sitting and contemplating Grandma's life.

So many wonderful memories about Grandma.  She had a beautiful smile that radiated any room she was in.  I enjoyed talking to her all the time.  She had fun playing games.  Her favorite thing to do was family history.  She taught me all I know about it and her passion was infused in me.  Now her grandkids like to do it too.  We miss you Grandma!  We love you!!!

James' 1st Decade Birthday!

James has been excited for days that his birthday was coming.
He kept saying, "I'm going to be in the double digits!"
Being 10 years old could not come soon enough.

We had to give James some Melatonin the night before to help him to get to sleep the night before.
He loved coming upstairs and seeing all the decorations and finding all his hidden presents.

And, oh boy, were the presents fantastic!
He got everything he asked for.
He received Hiram's Kindle, some books, a jump rope, a Hershey's Gold Bar, and Reese's Puffs cereal.

Dad made a beautiful cake for James!

James' friends, the Semmons boys, came over and played electronics.
James ended the night by watching "Ghost Busters II".

Happy Birthday to a wonderful, fun-loving, very giving boy!
