Pops Concert, Blue and Gold

Joyanne played her violin in her pops concert tonight.
She thought it was her best concert yet!
She was surprised and pleased with the fog that came seeping through the stage.
They jammed away to their orchestra music.

Jaden earned his Webelos badge and some other awards at Blue and Gold Banquet.

James also earned a couple awards too.
Because he just turned 9 years old, he is now a Bear Scout. Yay!

School Activities

Jaden and Micah worked together on their science fair project.
They picked an interesting topic.
Does your heart rate raise or lower based on your emotions?
They used a stethoscope to measure people's heart rate based on their emotions.
They presented their project clearly and well.

Hiram dissected a frog in science.
Here's the poor, deceased frog in his package.

The group had fun cutting up the frog, locating the different organs of the body.

Ewwwww, gross! But lots of fun!

Happy Birthday, James!

James was so excited to wake up for his birthday.
He made this poster for his class all about him.

James had a birthday party on Saturday where about 25 of his friends came.
He received so many treats and lots of toys.
James is so kind to everyone.
He has been sharing his treats and toys with everyone.

Happy Valentines Day!

Jaden reminded me to make heart-shaped pancakes for Valentine's Day.
They actually turned out pretty good.

Daddy completely surprised me with this special gift.
They are so sincere and he spent so long on this.
I love this man sooooooo much!

We also bought a chocolate fountain that worked for 20 minutes and then stopped working.
So we took it back and got a refund.
But it was fun while it worked.

Basketball Star Grant!

Grant played basketball this season and learned a lot.
Daddy practiced with him on Wednesday evenings at the church.
Grant played so well.
He made basket after basket.
His team won every time because he could make a basket nearly every time.
Most of the kids just got the ball and ran down the court carrying the ball, then tried to shoot it.
Grant would grab the ball and dribble it down the court, and then shoot.
He was awesome and blocking other players from making shots.
He also would constantly steal the ball from other players.
I think Grant will do well if he continues in basketball.

Pinewood Derby

This was a highlight for our scouts.
They all made amazing cars and had a groovy time racing their cars.

Jaden actually took 3rd place with his red block of wood.
James took 2nd place.
We all had such a wonderful time.

My boys

Gotta love my boy in a cowboy hat.
He sure is handsome!

My boys love snack time after school.
Eating in general is great for them!
Do you notice James doing the splits?
He does them everywhere.
He's loving being in gymnastics.
