July 2021 Summer Fun

We enjoy going to the Chukars baseball game in Idaho Falls each year.
Here's Mom and Jaden together.

Here we all are at the Chukar's game.
From right to left we have Grampa, Jasmine, Grant, James, and Serena.

We always have fun going to Fat Cats in Rexburg and playing the arcades.
Here's the prizes from all the tickets Jaden and Hiram won in July 2021.
Yummy Candy!

Operation Success (July 2021)

Adorable Piper!

Grant brought up and displayed all his stuffed animals and wanted a picture of them all.

He especially loves Toothless and Luna from the movie, "How to Train Your Dragon".

Grandpa ended up having a heart operation where they put in 2 heart stents.

Grandpa stayed awake for the whole thing.

The surgery was just a same day surgery.
We were in and out in a couple of hours.
Grandpa did great and recovered perfectly.
His heart seemed to work a little better after that.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ;)

July 3, 2021 Here Mom and Grandpa are at the 4th of July parade in Rexburg.
Since the 4th was on a Sunday, all the events were on Saturday.

July 3, 2021 - Behind Mom and Grandpa are Dad and Noah.

July 2021 - Daisy killed a $1,000 goldendoodle puppy we recently got named Comet.
Mom tried to post everywhere to try and find Daisy a home to no avail.
Daisy ended up going to the Rexburg pound.

July 2021 - Jaden received an award for being Chapter Champion in his Math Counts competition.

July 2021 - Way to go Jaden for being a superstar!
He ended up getting 11th or 12th at State.

Aunt Becca posted this on Facebook.
Mom remembers watching "I Love Lucy" with her mom as a kid.

April Fools!

April Fools was fun at our house this year.
I used clear packaging tape and put it across the kids' doors so when they came out of their room, they ran right into the tape.
Grant, James, and Hiram got in a sticky mess! 😉
Jaden and Noah recognized this trick.
Gummy bears in the pancakes didn't taste too good to these kiddos. 😝
Daddy gave all the kids Oreos and they were all so excited to eat them, until they took their first bite and realized what was inside was not cream, but mashed potato. 😆

Daddy-O made a crazy dinner with a menu that had fun names.
Nobody knew what they were getting.
Dinner was still pretty good regardless.

June 26, 2021 Here we are at the Rigby Lake Fireworks.
We love this tradition every year.

Hard to see but in this picture is Jaden, Joyanne, and Grandpa.

June 2021 James at one of his baseball games last year.

June 2021 James really improved throughout the season and loved the game.

June 2021 Grant is ready to hit that ball.

June 2021 Grant didn't love baseball, but he finished out the season.

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma June 2021

Hiram is a pretty good driver.
He drove us in June 2021 to Utah during rush hour and drove like a pro.

Can you see all the cars around us.
Rush hour time!
Good we have Hiram to get us safely where we need to go.

We loved our visit last summer to Grandma and Grandpa's in Utah.
We spent a few days doing fun activities.
We had a talent show where we sang, played the piano, and recited poems.
We had a movie night.
And, we went to Leatherby's for ice-cream.

We had such a fun memorable time spending time together.

Museum of Idaho & District Champion

On Thursday, we went to the Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls and learned lots about Genghis Khan.
There were lots of neat artifacts to see.

Grandpa, Dad, Jaden, Hiram, and James are here in the picture.
Mom and Grant were also at the Museum.

They had some singers playing Mongolian instruments.

Last weekend Jaden took 3rd in Original Oratory at District Debate.
He took 1st place and was District Champion in Extemporaneous Speech.

This was Jaden's first speech tournament to try Extemporaneous Speech and he won as District Champion!

All of Rigby did well and took 1st place at Districts.

Way to go, Jaden and way to go, Rigby!

This fun little quote was in the judges lounge.
