Happy Birthday! 🎂

This beautiful woman turned 17 years old.

She is such a good daughter.

We are so blessed.

Her friend, Katelin, came over tonight and surprised Joyanne with a cake.

Katelin's family came too and we had a game night party for Joyanne.

She was so happy and had fun playing the games.

We played the "Sign Game", "Hello, Mr. Mayor", and "Psychiatrist".

Happy day for a happy girl!

Happy Pi Day!

On March 14th (3-14) we celebrated the mathematical equation of Pi (3.14) by eating a chicken pot pie for dinner.

I even made the pie crust all by myself, for the first time, from scratch.

And, it was as easy as pie to make. 😉😝😁

The boys even said it tasted good!

Wonderful Warmer Weather

It was the first day of our Spring Break.

The weather was warm and beautiful.

We went to the park this afternoon.

Happy Birthday, Dear Jaden!

This spectacular young man was born 12 years ago.

I waited all morning to get into the crowded hospital, and finally I got in, and Jaden was born in the evening.

He's always been a smart boy, but math has been his forte.

He was able to stay home from school today, and get lots of attention from his momma as we played games, went to lunch, picked up treats, went to the library, and watched a show together.

He wanted and received 5 different kinds of rubiks cubes.

We ate chocolate chip muffins for breakfast and chicken pillows for dinner with Ice cream cake for dessert.

Seussical the Musical

Jaden was a "Who" person from Whoville in the play "Seussical the Musical".

He played his part well and was so fun to watch.

He spent many hours at play practice.

Jaden is great at acting and singing.

Awesome job, Jaden!

Swing Dancing

For a combined activity with the Young Men and Young Women, their activity was swing dancing.

Noah and Joyanne really got into it and had a lot of fun.

Hiram also had fun dancing and talking.

It's crazy now that we have 4 kids in Young Mens and Young Women's.

James also goes to scouts at the same time so only Grant stays at home with me on that night.

Piano Competition

Last month Joyanne had a piano competition where she was up against about 15 other students and had 3 college professors judge them.

Joyanne played extremely well with lots of feeling and wonderful technique.

She didn't receive any award, but she learned a lot from the competition and valued seeing other pianists who are on her skill level.

Way to go, Joyanne!!!

Visiting Grandpa

We had a chance to visit Grandpa on a day off from school.

Hiram showed Grandpa how to use his phone more.

We enjoyed talking, playing "Mexican Train" with dominoes, and eating lunch.

Grandpa ended our visit with a game where we went around 5 times and let each person say something they like about themselves.

The Unique Side of Us All

A few weeks ago we had our home church about remembering who we are, and not letting Satan have us think otherwise.

So we each made little posters that help define who we are.

Grant loves church, being creative and playing around.

James loves to play games, be happy, and serve.

Jaden loves his special sign that defines him ($).  He likes food, math, and so much more.

Hiram is a helping hand.  He loves to serve and help others.

Noah loves games, is creative, playful and such an amazing young man!

Joyanne's life is the piano.  She learns so much from the devotion she gives to this amazing talent that she possesses.

Christ is the center of my life. I also love music and reading (gaining knowledge). I am a mother, wife, and me.

Dad loves the gospel, being married, his family, serving, and, well, the picture says it all.

We love this home centered learning we do at home after church.

We enjoy being together and applying the gospel more directly in our lives.

The gospel is wonderful and we are feeling closer to Jesus Christ every day.

Family Birthday Party!

We had a family birthday party this last Sunday to celebrate Aunt Jeni and Noah's birthday.

We had so much fun visiting and talking to family.

Grandpa seemed to have a great time visiting with all of us.

Jaden, Hiram, James and Grant loved playing with Grandpa's new black dog, Daisy.

Daisy loves to play catch so they had balls and would throw them, and she was fast at retrieving them.

The spaghetti and salads were delicious, but, sadly, some of our garlic bread got burnt by accident.

Everyone ate a lot.

Jeni and I had fun holding Macall's twin boys, Elijah and Isaac.

We also went for a walk together after dinner with Joyanne and brought Daisy along too.

I sure missed Grandma a ton today.

I think Grandpa did too!

I just missed talking with her, helping her in the kitchen, and seeing her cheery smile.

Happy Birthday, Noah!

Noah was excited to open his presents.

He received a new phone battery to go with the phone he got a week ago as an early present.

He also received a new maroon hoodie.

Noah and his friend, Chris, had fun playing Minecraft all afternoon.

We had fun going to lunch at Subway.

Noah is such a great kid with so much potential.
