A Sad Day for Our Truck

The day dawned bright and beautiful.
We said our family prayer praying for safety as we all went about our day.
Grant was asked to clean out the van.
James usually takes the van to work, but Grant told James he needed to take the truck.
James had only driven the truck in the driveway before.
As he headed down the road, his music on his phone stopped playing.
He adjusted his music on his phone to play a new playlist, while driving.
He continued driving.
When he turned onto a busier road, his phone slid across the seat and was about to fall off, but he grabbed it.
When he looked up, he was heading straight into the ditch.
Rather than slam on the brakes, he accidently slammed on the gas, which caused the truck to careen through the ditch and up the side.
Thankfully James was not seriously injured.
He had a burn on his left arm from the airbag deploying and a cut on his left leg.
Hendrickson's Towing came and was able to get the truck out, but the poor truck was totaled.
We ended up surrendering the truck to the towing place because they were going to charge us over $500 to pay for the towing.
As it was they charged us $350 just to surrender it to them.
Highway Robbery!!!
Too bad we only had liability insurance on the truck.
Now we are down a vehicle.
We will miss all the things that truck could haul for us.

Premier Movie and Meeting the Actors

We were invited by a friend from Tremonton to watch the Premier Movie, "Faith of Angels".

The theater was packed full of people. Some people were turned away because there was no room.

At the end of the movie, we got to meet the producer, the director, the main actor, and the person who the movie was actually about. It was pretty cool!

Do you know who Ivey Lloyd is? I recognized her from the movie, "Faith of Angels" and from "Rigoletto". I saw her at Lagoon. She was so awesome to talk to and asked if I wanted a picture with her. She is also in the movie "Seventeen Miracles". She truly is a remarkable person.

Let the Good Times Roll!

My nieces and nephews for Aitana's baptism on August 3rd.

Beacham and Joyanne at Uncle John's wedding a while back in July.

Gotta love this girl and her great funny faces!

Dad got a beautiful picture of the sunrise out our back porch.

We went to Bridal Veil Falls.
Jaden makes the falls look pretty good.

Joyanne and Mom enjoyed time walking and talking together.
