Goodbye Scorch! Hello Stephen and Jason

I took Scorch, who I have cared for for the last 9 months, back to Stephen.

It was hard to say Goodbye!

But I was glad to see that Scorch would be with other horses, and in Stephen's care.

Stephen is so excited to get working with Scorch right away.

Stephen and Jason came home from serving a 2 year mission in Canada and Arizona.

We all were happy to see them.

Lots of family came, and we all enjoyed being together.

Lava Hot Springs

We went to Lava Hot Springs with Becca and Bryon.

The highlight for us was the high, olympic diving boards.

They also enjoyed the water slides and the hot tub.

We enjoyed spending a nice, hot day in the cool water.
We wore plenty of sunscreen to avoid sunburns.

Classic Fun Center

For Daddy's work party we went to the Classic Fun Center.

Skating was the best!

That's what we did most of the time.

Daddy and Noah raced around to see how fast they could skate a mile.

They made it in about 4 1/2 minutes.

Even Grant had fun skating around, and he was pretty good at it.

They also had scooters you could ride on too.

The music was fun to skate too.

There was also a small lazer tag, and a ball pit, and some bounce houses.

Towards the end I tripped and fell down pretty hard, but was able to get back up.

I ended up with some nice bruises on my left knee, my right hip, and my right elbow and wrist.

But, I still skated for a little bit after.

Skating is so much fun!

Happy Birthday, Hiram!

Hiram is now officially a teenager!

He was pretty excited for his birthday.

Hiram was pretty happy with all his awesome gifts.

Daddy and Joyanne created an amazing cake for Hiram, a chocolate Snickers cake.

Yum! Yum! Can't wait to eat this.

Bear Lake

I have a friend, Elizabeth, who has a farm near Paris, Idaho in Ovid.

She has a beautiful land, and it was fun to finally go and see her farm.

James and Grant loved the tree house in her backyard.

After visiting and having lunch together, we all went to Bear Lake for the day.

Becca and Bryon came too!

Fun times at Bear Lake!

The Fun of Simple Toys

Hiram, Jaden, Jacob Richard, Grant and James all fascinated by the Mexican top.

Jaden received a Mexican Top from his friend, Micah, who just returned from a vacation in Mexico.

The boys all had fun watching the top spin over and over.

We had a more lazy day because of the heat, and because we all had sunburns from when we went to the Spiral Jetty.

Daddy worked nearly a 12 hour day doing overtime for a construction site nearby.

Good money, but it made for a long day.

The Spiral Jetty

We went to the Spiral Jerry yesterday.

We had a blast!

The Spiral Jetty is just some rocks someone laid out in a spiral on the Great Salt Lake.

But we had so much fun playing in the water.

As we got out in the water further and further we found we just floated in the water.

It was totally awesome!

We felt like we were flying in the water.

Hiram and I swam out a couple miles trying to reach a little island.

We swam for a couple hours.

It was tiring, but very fun.
