Cleaning, Moving, Lost

I couldn't have cleaned my house today without these 2 ladies.
Thank you ever so much, Aileen and Alisa!
They cleaned 4 rooms of blinds, windows and baseboards.

It was pretty frustrating when Daddy went to pick up our 26 foot U-Haul truck and they didn't have it.
So he came home with a 20 foot U-Haul and a 6 foot trailer.
We got it all loaded with wonderful help from friends and the Elder's Quorum.
We still didn't quite fit EVERYTHING, so Daddy will make a trip out with his truck and trailer on Saturday to collect the rest of our stuff.

The saddest part about this move, besides missing our children and having them gone so long, is that the diamond in my wedding ring came out and is lost. Sad Days!

But after all this hard work, tomorrow we are finally on the move!

Love / Hate Relationship

I have a love - hate relationship with this home.
Our family has lived here for the last year.
We have had friends here.
We have built our family relationships here.
We have enjoyed playing in the yard and with our pets.
Many fond memories have been made here.
The unhappy part has been how much I've had to CLEAN it today.
I learned something about myself: I don't like deep cleaning.
I'd taking packing any day over washing blinds, scrubbing window seals, and wiping out cupboards.
A BIG THANK YOU to my friends Tami, Danielle and Tiffany for helping me out with the cleaning.

We are getting almost done.
Everything is pretty much packed with just a few more rooms of cleaning to go.

Sunday Dinner

Sunday dinner was enjoyable with family.
My parents bring such happiness to me.
They enjoyed dinner and it's always nice to visit with them.

 Dessert was the yummiest.
2 warm sweet rolls with a scoop of ice cream.

Here my nephews are enjoying their meal and the nice conversation.

We left our children with their Aunt and Uncle and family while we headed back to Vernal to pack and clean the rest of the house.
Joyanne is being a great big sister, caring for Grant and helping others.
Yesterday was spent cleaning out all the remainder of the kids rooms, washing walls, cleaning windows and blinds.
Thanks to my friend, Karri, for helping me clean out the bathroom, walls and windows.
An evening out with my friend, Kim, was just the thing to relax me from all the hard work.
Daddy and I worked hard, this morning, packing up the rest of the kitchen.
The house is emptying out with only a little left and lots of cleaning still to do.

Family Reunion

We drove to Brigham City yesterday and watched our cousins perform from their camp.
They were really creative and it was very entertaining.
We went to the "Busy Bee" for some amazing snow cones afterward.
The snow cones were a great price and there were some very unique flavors like "Graveyard" and "Sunrise".
We were all pretty exhausted and crashed last night.

The "Alpine Days Parade" was enjoyed by all of us who lived in or were visiting Alpine.

There was A LOT of candy thrown!

We really enjoyed going to our family reunion with my cousins and Aunts and Uncles.
Volleyball was definitely a favorite for many of us.

Talking with all the cousins and family that we see posts about on Facebook was nice.
There was a fun craft with a picture of my grandparents to remember them by.

My mother and her 4 brothers visited and planned our reunion for next year.

We each brought our own lunch and enjoyed it all.

I was able to go to the Salt Lake Running Store and get some good running shoes.
We went to Scheels and Joyanne got some shoes to help with her "knocked knees."
Gotta love the Ferris Wheel!

Great, busy day for us all.
HAPPY DAYS!!!

Happy Helpers

We started off the day great.
The kids were hard workers and cleaned walls.

James washed the kitchen walls so nice.

Hiram worked hard on the downstairs walls and doors.

We're getting down to the nitty-gritty.
Not much left to pack or do except haul it all out to the garage.
I've saved my kitchen for last with lots to pack and clean there.
I can't wait until this is all done and we are together as a family lying in our new home in our cozy beds.
One more week to go!

In-Grown Toenails

This packing and cleaning is getting old.
Nevertheless we must keep going onward.
A big THANK YOU to my friend, Kim, who watched James and Grant for me.
She always does an awesome job and the boys had so much fun at her home.

I was able to pack and clean Grant's room.
I scrubbed and washed every wall and baseboard in his room.

With things getting all packed up, these boys have had to become pretty creative in their play.
They have marbles on the lid and their goal is to not let the marbles fall off on their side.
They were laughing and having so much fun with such a simple game.

Noah, however, didn't have much fun afterwards.
His toe has been bothering him so I dug at it.
He tried to be brave and not jerk his foot away even though it hurt like no other.
I was able to pull a long piece of toenail out from under his skin and cut it off.
Boy, oh, boy was he in pain.

I don't like taking the kids to the doctor for something I can take care of myself.
So when it comes to in-grown toenails, I get to take care of them.
Joyanne, Jaden, and, now, Noah have each had them, and though it's painful, I get the nail out and doctor them up.
I used to get them all the time when I was younger, but now it's not so bad for me.
Joyanne and Jaden now take care of their nails better so they don't get them anymore.

Endless Packing

Joyanne, Noah and Jaden's room got all packed up today.
The toy room also got packed up.
We're getting down to crunch time with lots to still clean.
I'm grateful to my kids who are dealing with my orneriness and helping me clean and pack.

Well, I have something to say, but I don't know how to say it.
Though I blog almost daily, I don't feel like I say or word things very well.
I'm struggling!
Of course, life is overwhelming with moving and all, but there's more to it than that.
Satan is attacking in a variety of ways, and I can't seem to control or refute him.
I will continue in prayer and scripture study hoping the answers will come.
In the meantime, I guess I will just put one foot in front of the other and have faith.
