Good Weather, Block Building

Grant had a few days off school last week while the school did Kindergarten testing.
We went to the park, and even Cozette loved getting swung in the swing.

Grant has always loved to swing, and still loves it.

Block building at its best!
Grant's very creative creation.
He was pleased and asked me to take a picture.
Grant loved riding Scorch on one of the no school days.
I walked him around for about an hour, and when we got back, he was still wanting to ride.
We have been blessed to get to take care of and ride Scorch all we want.

Red and White Dance

Joyanne went on her first date with William to the final High School dance of the year: RED AND WHITE!
She had a friend come style her hair for the dance.

Their group went ice skating in Logan, had lunch together, and then they went to a play.
After coming home and getting ready for the dance, they went to get pictures, have dinner, and then to the dance.

Before William came, I reminded Daddy that he needed to get out his rifle. 😉
So, Daddy went and got out his big nerf guns.
He placed one loaded nerf gun outside with a note saying something like "You're going to need this. Bring it to the door with you."
William brought it to the door, and as we opened the door, a nerf gun war began.
Great way to ease the tension.
William is such an easy going guy and turns any awkward situation into a fun one.
Joyanne had quite the time getting the boutineere on William, so I tried to help, and Daddy did too.
We finally got it on alright, but William was a good sport through it all.

Such a cute couple!
They are so fun together.

Happy Mother's Day

I just loved this mother's day.
I felt so loved and appreciated.
I received some great presents, these trek walking sticks as one of them.

Hiram gave me an awesome hour long backscratch.
Noah massaged my back for a long while.
Joyanne massaged my back too, and made me brownies. Yum!
Jade made the most delicious dinner with pulled pork over nachos with some deluxe toppings.
He also did the dishes and made me breakfast.

I love being a mom!
I love playing games with my kids, talking to them, working beside them, and just being there for them.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Daddy had a great birthday.
He was happy to get a WiiU.

Family time is fun time.
While his actual birthday was filled with work and taking Jaden to his soccer game, we celebrated the next day.

Our family sure loves Daddy and are grateful he was born.
Happy Birthday!

Special Visitors

We loved having Grandma and Grandpa come visit us this afternoon.
Hiram was able to show his skills on the tenor saxophone for them.
We had a yummy dinner of Sloppy Joes that Daddy made, and everyone had seconds or more of them.
We had a family home evening on the Sacrament and really learned a lot.
  • We love visits from Grandma and Grandpa, and we sure love them!

Growth and Learning

Noah has dealt with some pretty tough challenges lately.
He has been willing to get help when needed and where needed.
He has come a long way, in just a couple months, because he has humbly got help and learned from his mistakes.
He is such a great boy who is turning into an amazing man.
His potential is boundless in what he can do.
He is determined and hard working.
He is sensitive to others, and he has the best smile!
Keep up the good work, Noah!
We love you!

Remembering and Tennis Time

We celebrated and remembered Grandma Joyanne's birthday by making delicious cupcakes.
Daddy misses his Mom often, but we are grateful for the legacy she left.
She raised a great son, and we sure live Daddy!

James has been begging to go play tennis for weeks.
Finally, we went and played as a family.
We love and appreciate Grandma and Grandpa, who gave us each our very own rackets.
Daddy is like a pro at tennis.
He is fun to watch when he really plays.
We all love to play tennis.
Joyanne was part of the high school tennis team last year.

We hope to have many more tennis matches with each other in the future.
