October 14-23 Family and Cousin Time

We had the privilege of having Utah cousins over for 10 days.

Fabricio has autism and loves wearing that pillow pet on his head.

He enjoyed playing with all kinds of things and is nonverbal.

He especially loved playing with the jewels, but for some reason, they made him sneeze a lot.

Dante enjoyed building things with legos.

Dante also loves trains, so he was excited to get a picture with one.

We were able to go to treats on the street.
The kids loved the treats.

After receiving a couple buckets of apples, Dad became adventurous and decided to make applesauce.

Dante loved eating the popcorn that James is so good at making.

Aitana and Dante helped make the apple sauce.

Fabricio was scared of our dog, Red, and wouldn't go near him for days.
Finally they made friends.

Money Tree and Palisades in the Fall - October 6-12

Ever hear the saying that money doesn't grow on trees?
Well, here's proof that it does.
My dad let me have his money tree, and I love it!

We ended up buying a new fridge for Grandpa's apartment because our old one went out.
This one is bigger and much nicer.

We drove up through palisades to Joey and Amber's in Wyoming.
The weather was beautiful and the trees were full of pretty colors.

Grandpa sure enjoyed the drive.

Dad is looking pretty handsome here in the beautiful view.

Here's Momma! :)

Grant is looking pretty good!

Moving Day - October 2-6

I drove to Utah to help my parents move from their home in West Jordan to a facility for those who are retired.

There was a lot of packing to be done.
I mostly helped to pack the kitchen.

We watched General Conference in between moving things from one place to another.

My dad was absolutely amazing in all that he did to pack boxes and load them into the trailer.
He was also the fix-it guy and made their new apartment look great.

After moving my parents, some of my siblings and others came and helped move my brother and sister-in-law's things into the house my parents moved out of.
My brother is buying the home from my parents.

And here is the beautiful apartment with my beautiful mother in it.
Do you like the guy behind? He was helping explain how some of the things work.

As exhausted as my parents were from the move, they amazingly kept going with unpacking and organizing.
I loved being with my parents and helping them!

Schwarts Sturgeon Fishing Pond

Grandpa loves to go fishing annually at Schwarts Sturgeon Fishing Pond.
We always catch huge fish that are anywhere from 2 feet to 7 feet long.
Jaden did awesome at helping bring in the fish and release them back.
When someone catches the fish, they reel it in to knee length water, then Jaden grabs the fish by the tail, uses his other hand to grab the head, then flips the fish over, and the fish goes to sleep. Then Jaden takes out the barbless hook, flips it right side up, and lets it swim off.
First fish of the day.

Dad and Grant starting out fishing.

Dad and Justin, (our friend and neighbor who loves to fish).

This was a medium-sized sturgeon of the day.

Happy fishing Dad and Justin!

Another great catch by Justin.

Here's a big one!

James caught a few, too.

They just seemed to get bigger and bigger.

Noah and Hailey came and fished for about an hour.

Hailey was fascinated to fish and catch these huge fish.

Here was the biggest catch of the day for us.

Grandpa caught the one they call "Michael Jackson".

Here's what "Michael Jackson" looks like topside.

Justin's cute little fish.
This was probably the littlest fish we caught.

After fishing for sturgeon, we were able to feed the Bass fish in another fish pond.

You would stick in an earthworm and the fish would jump up and eat them from your hand.

Even Mom got in on the action once in a while.
Mostly she cut up the bate and made sure people had plenty.

Mom's catch that Jaden helped release.

Dad helped catch and release LOTS of fish as well.

We had dinner all together.

On our way up, we drove through the Carey cemetery and stopped to see Mom's Grandma Margaret Cameron. Her Grandpa Max is actually buried in Payson, Utah.
