Country Dancing - August 23rd

Just a cool picture Dad took of a lightning storm.

Our friends, Emily and Eric, invited us to go country dancing.

We hadn't been country dancing since our college days.
We remembered fond times of dancing together about 20 years ago.
It took us a little time, but we got the hang of it again.
There were some amazing dancers there.

Dad sure gets some good pictures of the sky.

August 14th - Timpanogoes Hike

Our group of hikers at the start of our Timpanogoes hike.
Dad, Grant, Jaden, Joyanne, Mom, Beacham, James, Stephen, and Gideon

The beautiful views on the hike were stunning.
The hike itself was pretty shaded in a lot of parts, especially towards the beginning.

Joyanne, Beacham, James, Dad, Stephen, and Jaden

Another scenic view

Do you see the mountain goat on the mountain?

Look at that handsome kid!

Grant has a great smile!

Silly, loveable kid!

Gideon, Grant's friend, who was an amazing hiker.

Gideon

Jaden, who ended up hiking over 100 miles throughout the whole summer.

Jaden sure has a contagious smile.

Amazing James!

James has become quite the hiker as well.

Aww, what an amazing Dad!

Such a good, loving guy!

Joyanne and her boyfriend, Beacham

The beauty of our family!

Beacham sure brings a light to Joyanne's life.

He's a great guy to have around our family, too.

They made it to the top!

Here's the hut to show their success at the top.

I started out behind the group.
I met a  70-year-old lady whom I was able to share my testimony with.
She ended up getting too tired and had to be life flighted out.
It took a few weeks for her to recover.

I also met a guy, Patrick, and we talked and hiked together all the way to the meadow.

God didn't want me to walk alone for this hike.
I was grateful to be able to help 2 people while enjoying nature.

The mountain goats came so close to me while hiking near the meadow.

The baby goat with her mamma were so cute!

August 13th - Lagoon Trip

The day after James' truck accident, we went to Lagoon as a family using our GetOutPass.
We had a lot of fun!
The lines were a little long, especially for the new ride, Primordial.
Here Dad, Grandpa, and I are in line for Primordial watching Jaden and James shoot up in their ride.

While waiting in line for Primordial, I met Ivey Lloyd, the movie actress from Rigoletto, 17 Miracles, and Faith of Angels.
She was absolutely amazing and so friendly.

Cliffhanger hasn't been open for a while, so this was an adventure.

They are about to get soaked.

In Cliffhanger, they get more soaked than at the Rattlesnake Rapids ride.

This picture was taken just before we entered Lagoon.
Grant's friend, Gideon, was with us.
Grant was with us too; he just happened to not make it in any pictures for some reason.

This is part of the line waiting to go on Primordial.

We went on Primordial 2 times, waiting about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for each time.
The ride had mechanical issues both times we wanted to go on it.

Grandpa wasn't feeling too well the 2nd time in line waiting to go on Primordial.
We were about to take him out, when the line started moving and we got to go on the ride.
He ended up throwing up all over himself and the seat.
It wasn't too fun to clean up afterwards.

Rattlesnake Rapids is always a fun ride to go on.
But for some reason, everyone always tries to get me soaked.

Me, Madre, Mother, Mamma, Mom, M-O-M, Mither

Jaden the stud muffin!

Cool James!

Awesome Daddy-O!
