Serving the Lord

My nephew got his mission call on his birthday, June 13th.
We were excited that he was called to Phoenix, Arizona.
He wanted to go stateside, so he got what he wished for.
He is serving where his older brother served a few years ago.

This was a great family event for all.

 

Exercise and Hiking

I jogged/walked 4 miles this morning after talking to our Brazil missionary, Hiram.

We hiked the Menan Buttes.
Fun to get out and enjoy the good weather with a nice breeze.

Hiking and Swimming

We went swimming at Rigby Lake.
Grant and James had fun with us in the water.

Grant slapped Dad on the back, and Dad had no idea the funny prints left on his back until I shared this picture with him. 🤣😂😆

James and I went hiking up the Menan Buttes this morning. 
Thankfully it was cool with a nice breeze.

The views were nice, too.

Sleeping in and Hiking

I went into Grant's room at 11am to see if he was alive.
He was and finally woke up.
This kid must be going through a growth spurt.

Here's Grandpa reading and riding his stationary bike.
He exercises well every day, usually getting in 4 miles of walking and 2-4 miles of biking.

Grant and I took the dogs hiking up the Menan Buttes this afternoon. 
It was so 🔥 🥵 hot, a d the dogs kept running to every bit of shade to rest.

Grant was a great buddy to go hiking with.

 

Joseph & Tanya's Wedding

"I stole HER heart" / "So I stole HIS last name"

Joseph and Tanya served up the DELICIOUS brisket for the wedding luncheon.
I had helped organize all the sides to go with it.
Here's Daddy getting his food.

Tanya looked beautiful in her wedding dress with Joseph beside her.

We all love Tanya. She is a light to everyone's lives but especially Joseph.

I loved seeing my aunts and uncles having fun at the wedding, giving each other a massage.

Speech and Debate Awesomeness!

May 29, 2024

Awesome Jaden here fulfilling his role as Novice Captain of the Debate team.
This night was celebrating the accomplishments of the speech and debate team for the whole year.

Jaden looked great up there congratulating all those who received an award.
Jaden's award was the Flash superhero.

Jaden was able to perform his Humorous Interpretation speech that he won at Idaho State Speech Competition.
He was the best in the state.

Jaden also won the award "Most Valuable Speaker".
He also received this award last year as well.

Now on to Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa in a couple of weeks for this amazing Speech and Debate Star!

 

Fisherman's Breakfast

May 24, 2024

Grandpa loves to go to the annual Fisherman's Breakfast in St. Anthony every year.
They serve pancakes, hashbrowns, and sausage along with a drink.
There are booths giving away a lot of free stuff.
Fun times!
