Grant at Woodbadge Family Camp

Grant was the star of the camera at Family Camp with 48 pictures taken of him.

He is quite the photogenic boy!

This man taught all the boys about rope tying and checkers.

Here's Grant with Kathleen Hess and Jim Hess.  They were so kind to look after the kids while we were in Woodbadge training.

Grant was in the group with the 6 year olds, even though he is only 5, but he sure loved his group!

Woodbadge Family Camp

We went to Woodbadge Family Camp at Camp Bartlett the beginning of July.

We arrived Sunday evening and the boys immediately went to play Gaga Ball.

Boy, did they have fun!

That game was probably the funnest thing they did at camp.

But the first night we were there, Noah accidently kneed Jaden in the mouth, splitting his lip quite deeply.

We ended up driving into Montpelier to the hospital and Jaden got 6 dissolvable stitches.

Ouch!!!

We celebrated the 4th of July on Wednesday.

We kicked off the celebration with the kids parading around the field.

James is a great leader of the knights.

Canoeing with the boys was so much fun

We all enjoyed getting out on the water in canoes and going around the lake that had leeches in it.

There's a story that there is a 6 foot leech in the water that has eaten 2 scouts!

The kids all participated in a campfire, doing skits and singing songs.

Grant asked about the "important paper" only to find that the real important paper is toilet paper.

James was a great knight and they told funny "knight" or "night" jokes.

Jaden sang his heart out singing the original version of "Arigabamboo".

Hiram played a great sick person who passed on his sickness to another kid.

And that was just some of our adventures at Woodbadge Family Camp.
