Fishing with Grandpa

Grandpa and Daddy took the grandkids fishing on Saturday morning.
Marissa was pretty excited to make the first catch of the day and it was a big fish too.

The little ones liked exploring the great outdoors and eating apples for snack.

Jaden enjoyed fishing, even though he didn't catch anything.

Hiram didn't catch anything either, but the excitement of waiting and hoping was still fun.

Grandpa is sure a great fisherman and the kids loved spending time with him.

Even Uncle John had fun out on by the water.

Noah's patience paid off as he finally caught a fish.

Joyanne and Marissa had fun together catching fish.

Grant just wanted a snack at this point.

Grandma cooked the fish for dinner and it was delicious!

Hiram's Field Trip

Daddy went with Hiram on a field trip to Hardware Ranch last Friday.
Hiram sat by his friend, Fernando.

They learned about water sheds and took time to draw their own.

They walked around in the water to kick up the bugs and catch them to identify what type of bugs were in the water.

Then they went to the table to try and identify what bugs they caught.

They learned about the different plants and trees in the area and identified different ones.

Hiram had a great field trip and enjoyed the great outdoors.

General Conference Sunday

We so enjoyed watching General Conference with Grandma and Grandpa.
Hiram learned to tie flys with Grandpa.

The boys played with legos and toys while listening to Conference.

Aunt Jeni, Grandma and I made cute little duckies with yarn and plastic backing.

Daddy and Joyanne were drawing or writing or taking notes.

We all learned a lot from conference and especially enjoyed the Prophet's talk about following the Savior.
We were all spiritually enlightened and ready to go forth striving to be better people than we were before.

Run for the Cure

We had so many fun activities that it will take me a couple days to blog about them all.

The first things we did this morning is "Run for the Cure".
Grandma Bills had breast cancer 3 years ago.
She survived!
She walked a mile with her walker while Wanita and I ran a 3K.
It was fun to run for a great purpose.
I also ran for my sister-in-law, Joann, who died at age 26 from breast cancer.
She found out she was diagnosed with cancer when she was a few months into her 3rd pregnancy.
Doctors told her to abort to save her life.
Her bishop and Stake President also said in this situation, it would be okay.
She and my brother prayed about it and felt they should keep the baby.
Their son, Matthew was born and 6 months later, Joann passed away.
She gave her life for her son who is 19 years old now.
Grandma Harmon also passed away from a different kind of cancer, but we ran in memory of her too.

The morning was brisk and cool and besides having my lungs burn a bit at the beginning causing me to walk a bit, the race was a good one.
I hope to improve my time the next time I race.
My run/walk for the 5K was 38 minutes.

General Conference, of course, was so enjoyable and we all gleaned much from each of the talks and are on our way to becoming better people with stronger testimonies because of them.

BYU vs. USU

Daddy and Noah are enjoying the football game between BYU and USU.
I'm rootin' for them Cougars, but Daddy's cheering for the Aggies (since now we live by them).

Since the game will probably run until midnight and it's half time, we are off to bed.

We are here in Idaho visiting Grandma and Grandpa for General Conference.
With fun activities planned for tomorrow, we should have an eventful weekend.

Daddy's Home!

Yay!  Daddy came home this evening.
It was a sad day for him to say goodbye to all the great people in Vernal.
We are truly sad to say goodbye.

Now we are permanently here in Tremonton as a family.

James, Grant and I had fun playing on all the play cell phones we have laying around.
It's so fun to have this time with my 2 youngest boys when the others are in school.

1 Day - Love

One more day, just one more day, until my eternal love comes home.

The best thing about Daddy is his deep love for his family.
He always tries to be there for us, in the good times and the bad, in the hard times and the easy ones.
He blesses us with his worthiness to hold the Priesthood.
He gives his all for us.
He loves us!
