Big Surprise!

Daddy had to go back to Vernal for another week of work.
We found out today that he will have to continue to work through some of October in Vernal.
We anxiously await the time when he can be out here in Tremonton with us.

We bought a surprise for the kids in Logan today.
We got a $599 trampoline for $266 from Propel Trampoline's warehouse.
They were so excited to have a trampoline.
I don't know what parents of 5 or more boys do WITHOUT a trampoline.
My boys have a great place to "bounce" out their energy now.

I took James and Grant to the Willow Park Zoo in Logan while Daddy played a little disc golf.
They loved seeing the reindeer.
The park was fun for James and Grant to play on after.
Grant went down the tall slide maybe 10 or so times in a row.

Joyanne started piano lessons from her amazing Aunt Carol.
It's nice to have her with a teacher who teaches her well.

My Day

My day begins at 6:30a.m. as I wake and pray.
I make breakfast for Joyanne so she can eat at 6:45a.m.
Then I wake up all the boys: Noah, Hiram and Jaden.
We have family scripture and prayer at 7p.m.
Joyanne leaves for school at 7:15a.m.
Breakfast for the boys is at 7:15a.m.
I take the boys to Elementary School at 7:45a.m.
After getting Grant dressed, I do school time with James and Grant.
For school time, we do a couple workbook pages, review colors, shapes, letters and numbers.
Then we read.
Today I worked hard for an hour unpacking the remainder of the stuff in the house and organizing.
I took the boys and our dog, Possum on a walk.
Lunch followed.
After more cleaning, sorting and organizing, we had a quiet time where Grant played in his room, James played downstairs and I read my scriptures, checked e-mail, read blogs and facebook.
I got my huge kitchen, dining room and hallway floors swept and mopped.
I picked up the boys from school at 3:45p.m.
So glad to have gotten so much done today.

The highlight of the day was to have my brother and his family join us for dinner on their way to Washington.
Hawaiian Haystacks was a great meal for such a big group.

Big Bumps, Buckets of Water

Poor Grant fell off the tailgate of the truck.
He got a nice, big bump on his head.
We put on lavender, gave him Motrin, but the bump swelled pretty big.
The ice helped it go down a little, but Grant still was not feeling well.
Daddy put on some "Deep Blue" and then Grant was bouncing around all over the place.
He kept doing summersaults and saying "Watch this" while he summersaulted on the couch.
That "Deep Blue" did something good for him.
Jaden and Noah both did the Ice Bucket challenge.
Good times!!!

First Day of School 2014

We had a great 1st day of school at our house.
The kids were so excited.
When Jaden was woken up to get ready, he bounded out of bed in excitement.

Grant finished off his BIG long sucker from Sis. Bestenlehner.
Thank you, Tami, the kids LOVED them!!!

Daddy's Home!!!

Daddy came home last night.
He's only been gone a week, but it was a LONG week.
Grant was so excited to see Daddy as he screamed "Daaaaaaaddy!"
Then he jumped in his arms.
He tagged along with Daddy all day and would only be consoled from sadness if Daddy held him.
This is why it's good to have Daddy home. ;)

Daddy worked so hard today.
He got everything done TODAY that I wanted done IN A WEEK.
What a man!

Francom Family Reunion

This 18th family reunion is on my father's, mother's side (my paternal grandmother).
I come from Ernest and Prudence Francom.

My favorite part is hearing this man play the guitar.
I think he is my 2nd cousin or something like that.
He plays every year and my favorite songs to hear are "The Auctioneer" and "I'm My Own Grandpa".

A lot of people just enjoyed talking to each other.
Susan and Linda had much to talk about.
They connect well with each other.

My Aunt Becky and brother, Bob, were able to visit.
My mom and John also held deep conversations.

Joyanne and Brenden had fun dancing around and duking it out with each other.

Here's everyone waiting to watch the annual auction that is held to raise money for next year's reunion.

My dad did a superb job at being the auctioneer.

I love reunions and the chance we get to share talents, build relationships and eat yummy food.
It was a beautiful day for it all.

I ended the day with a 5 mile walk/run.
It feels great to exercise!!!

Zucchini

What do you do when you have TONS of zucchini with kids who don't really like it raw or cooked?
You make zucchinie bread and zucchini cookies.
I know, zucchini cookies???
That sounds gross.
But all of my kids really liked them.
Who wouldn't when there's 3 cups of sugar and white milk chips in them.
I spent all morning in the kitchen.
We were glad to leave this afternoon for Aunt Susan's house.
Now that we are so much closer to family, it's fun to come and visit them.

Have any of you heard of TrueHope or Empower Plus?
I will be spending some time researching Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.
Also, I'm looking into Borderline Personality and Bypolar.
