Schwarts Sturgeon Fishing Pond

Grandpa loves to go fishing annually at Schwarts Sturgeon Fishing Pond.
We always catch huge fish that are anywhere from 2 feet to 7 feet long.
Jaden did awesome at helping bring in the fish and release them back.
When someone catches the fish, they reel it in to knee length water, then Jaden grabs the fish by the tail, uses his other hand to grab the head, then flips the fish over, and the fish goes to sleep. Then Jaden takes out the barbless hook, flips it right side up, and lets it swim off.
First fish of the day.

Dad and Grant starting out fishing.

Dad and Justin, (our friend and neighbor who loves to fish).

This was a medium-sized sturgeon of the day.

Happy fishing Dad and Justin!

Another great catch by Justin.

Here's a big one!

James caught a few, too.

They just seemed to get bigger and bigger.

Noah and Hailey came and fished for about an hour.

Hailey was fascinated to fish and catch these huge fish.

Here was the biggest catch of the day for us.

Grandpa caught the one they call "Michael Jackson".

Here's what "Michael Jackson" looks like topside.

Justin's cute little fish.
This was probably the littlest fish we caught.

After fishing for sturgeon, we were able to feed the Bass fish in another fish pond.

You would stick in an earthworm and the fish would jump up and eat them from your hand.

Even Mom got in on the action once in a while.
Mostly she cut up the bate and made sure people had plenty.

Mom's catch that Jaden helped release.

Dad helped catch and release LOTS of fish as well.

We had dinner all together.

On our way up, we drove through the Carey cemetery and stopped to see Mom's Grandma Margaret Cameron. Her Grandpa Max is actually buried in Payson, Utah.
