Fire Chief

Here's our had fire chief to the rescue!
Such a trooper (quite literally) to wear a hat that Grant gave him.

Grant and James are wearing their own hats, ready to fight any fires.

We sure love all our kids and are so grateful to have them.

Super Moon Lunar Eclipse

The kids saw the lunar eclipse.
First we climbed on the roof, but then we joined our neighbors and stared forever at the dark, night sky.
Finally we saw a bit of the red moon.
We couldn't see it before because it was at a full eclipse.

Moments of Fun

Daddy has worked lots of overtime lately and we all have worked on the Haunted House.
But yesterday and today we had a few minutes to relax and have fun.

Joyanne took a picture of me tickling Daddy.

Joyanne and I painted toenails.
Grant REALLY wanted his toenails painted too.
I don't like my boys with toes painted, but I gave in today and painted his toes with a clear, sparkly polish.

Happy Birthday, Grant!

Happy 4th Birthday, Grant!
Grant's birthday was actually Thursday, but we celebrated today because Daddy was home and the day could be more devoted to Grant and not our busy schedule.
Fun day ahead for this little tyke.
We went to Lagoon and enjoyed a bit of Frightmares.
Grant loved his Swedish Fish Cake.

Schedules

Wow! Life has been crazy busy.
With school and all the activities that come with it AND our haunted house, it seems we are never home.
Joyanne had fun doing her science experiment and creating different gases.
These online classes through UOS are going so great.
She is learning a lot and has so much free time on her hands.

Our haunted house gets better and better every night.
We just had a make-up artist join our crew.
His experience with haunted houses is amazing.
He's going to be a great asset to our team.

Family Home Evening

The kids had their cousins over for family night.
They had fun together doing all sorts of stuff.
Families can be together forever and we are working to build our relationships so we can be a stronger family.
Doing Family Home Evening draws us closer to each other and to Heavenly Father and the Savior.
I'm grateful the Lord has put a wonderful program in place to bless our lives and our families.

Martin Harris' Grave

We drove up to Clarkston Utah to visit the place where Martin Harris was buried at 92 years old.
We enjoyed visiting the cemetery and pondering on one of the witnesses to The Book of Mormon.
Martin Harris truly was a remarkable man.

So, we were getting ready to go home when we realized the doors were locked AND the keys were inside. :(
Being 30 minutes from home, we couldn't walk home or run and grab keys.
So, we found some thin wire that holds up hanging flower pots on one of the graves.
Daddy slid the wire into the corner of the door.
He worked and worked for about 30 minutes to get the door open.
In the meantime, I texted some awesome neighbors who were going to bring our spare keys to the rescue.
Just as they were leaving, Daddy got the door opened.
Daddy makes everything a fun adventure, and instead of getting stressed out, he turned a bad situation into a fun adventure!
