Jazz Game Surprise

Tonight we surprised our kids and took them to the Jazz game.
They have never been to a real professional basketball game before.

We were pretty excited when the Jazz beat Milwaukee.
It was a close game nearly the whole time.
After playing Junior Jazz, Noah and Hiram were so excited to see professional players.
Noah and Hiram had an extra lucky surprise.
They were able to stand down in front of the basketball players for the National Anthem.

It truly was a fun memorable night for all of us.

Time with Nephews and Neices

Grant and I drove 1 1/2 hours to see my nephew perform in his 3rd Grade program.
He did such a great job and the program was one of the best I've seen.
My nephew called a week ago to tell me the date and invite me.
Then he called last night to remind me.
I think he was crushed when I first told him I didn't think I could make it.
I called him back later and got it all worked out so I could come.
He was SO happy!

I also was able to spend some cherished time with my sister.
We went to brunch at Village Inn.
Good food, good company, great conversation.
I love having the time to bond with my sister.
We went walking for about an hour afterward to work off all the food we ate.

The evening was spent with Joyanne having piano lessons from Carol and then we helped Amara celebrate her birthday.
Her birthday is actually on February 29th, but we celebrated tonight.
Aunt Carol made an amazing cupcake dress that tasted as delicious as it looks.
Happy Birthday, Amara!

Bear, Webelos & Arrow of Light

We had our Blue and Gold Banquet at Pack Meeting tonight.
Hiram earned his Bear.
Noah earned his Webelos, which he actually earned a few months ago, but wasn't awarded.
Noah also earned his Arrow of Light.

Way to go, Hiram and Noah!
Keep up the good work!

Good Friends

Gotta love these 2 crazies.
They goof around together all the time.
Tuesdays are a fun time for me as I get to eat lunch with my friend, Elizabeth and we talk and visit about EVERYTHING!
Elizabeth is an amazing friend, who is so sweet, kind and very thoughtful.
She is such a giving person too.
She helps out everywhere she can; at her kids' schools, she visits her aunt in the rest home, and she is just so nice.
I feel lucky to have her for a friend and hope I can be a good friend for her too.

My kids were all excited to go to the Elementary McDonald's night with their teachers and friends.
We like to support good causes.

Hiram and Noah had their last basketball games for the season.
They both enjoyed playing basketball and playing a team sport.

Happy 6th Birthday, James

What a happy day for this little boy!
He was excited to wake up to the house decorated.
Searching for his hidden presents was great.

He was so pleased with all the fun gifts he received.
His brothers were pleased too and wanted to play with the soccer ball, the "whoopy cushion", and the cars.

James had fun playing with 2 of his friends, Kyle and Eli.
Lunch at the elementary thrilled him.
He liked having a party at his cousins home and they were great to decorate and make it a special night for James.

James is such a happy, good boy.
He has a contagious smile and is so excited about life.
We are sure happy James is apart of our family.

Band and Basketball

Noah went to his 6th Grade Orientation.
He's excited to be at the Intermediate School next year.
He's really excited to play the trumpet in band and loved being able to try out his instrument tonight.
Joyanne played great at basketball with the Young Women.
She blocks the opposing players really well and was awesome on picking up the rebound.
She had so much fun and is looking forward to joining a team.

Block Building

A regular, busy school day was at our house.
School, homework, scouts, Young Women's were the highlight events.
Daddy was quite busy at work with lots of accidents happening on the roads.
When he came home for his break, Daddy, Joyanne and I all played "Trivia Crack" against each other on our devices.  Silly, silly!

Jaden was excited about his block home that he built and asked me to take a picture.

Happy President's Day

Our evening was spent at Crystal Hot Springs.
While the outside may have been a bit cold, the Hot Springs are nice and warm.

Happy President's Day!

Time with Cousins

Hiram, Jaden, James and Grant sure had fun with their cousins, Amara and Joseph.
They liked having them at church, playing dress-up and playing games.

Daddy is really enjoying his Young Men's calling.
He is a good influence to those boys.
I LOVE teaching the singing time for Primary.
Those kids sure sing well and bring me lots of joy.
The spirit at church is so warming to the soul.
We all are learning to draw closer to Jesus and feel the love of Heavenly Father.

Happy Valentines!

We took Oreo cookies and dipped them in melted white chocolate and put a candy heart on top.
The kids loved them.
Hiram had a basketball game and did well.
His team didn't win, but he still had fun.
We spent the WARM afternoon at the park and playing Disc Golf.
This Valentines was a special one full of lots of love.
:)

Warm February

After going to Library reading time, James and Grant were excited to be able to play at the park for a few minutes.
Definitely crazy warm temperatures for February.

It's so warm that the buds on the trees are starting to show.
Nordic Valley closed their ski slopes because the grass started growing on the hills.
The kids are loving being able to play basketball outside, ride bikes, and jump on the trampoline.

Sick and Still Going . . .

Sick and still going.
That is how I rolled today.
I lost my voice and still have a nasty cold, but forward and onward I must go.
I got up at 5:15a.m. to exercise with the gals at the church.
I helped out at the school with baggie books.
I was James' show-and-tell for the letter "M" - Mom in a mask.
I napped this afternoon.

Jaden and James were picked up after school.
I returned a half hour later to pick up Hiram.
I returned ANOTHER half hour later to pick up Noah from Science club.
Dinner was sadly Top Ramen and cereal.
The kids didn't seem to mind at all.
Joyanne went to a Young Women's basketball game.
And the last thing I got to do was take Hiram to his basketball practice.

My New Phone, Yay!!!

Two days ago, Daddy bought me a new phone.
I have anxiously been waiting for 2 days to get it here.
Today, at 12:55p.m., my LG G3 phone arrived.
I am so excited for this phone because it has 13 megapixels for picture taking and that it what I really want it for.
I took my first 3 pictures with it.
I took a picture of my awesome husband first.
Noah with his friend, Karli, was my next.
And I even took a picture of my first selfie with it.
Happy day for me! :)

Dentist Check-up

When something has to get done, I like to get it done all at once and then not have to worry about it until I have to do it again.
So yesterday we all went to the dentist for check-ups and cleanings.
Surprisingly, no one had cavities except for Grant who has just a teeny tiny one.
The Dentist told Hiram and Jaden that they need to brush a little better because they had a lot of plaque build-up.
They were all excited to use their flossers tonight.

Fun Saturday

The kids had a super fun Saturday.
Noah and Hiram had pictures for basketball.
Hiram made a basket and his team won.
The kids loved that they were able to go to Taco Time for lunch.
Eating out is a rarity in our family.
The weather was unseasonably warm.
So the kids went outside to do all sorts of things.
James flew his kite.
Daddy mowed the lawn, changed the oil in the truck and fixed up all the kids bikes.
The kids loved riding their bikes.
Jaden brought out his ball popper gun.
Joyanne played in her recital that evening and did well.
The kids had a great day enjoying the 60 degree weather in February.
I drove to my sister, Linda's, and helped clean her carpets and went to lunch at the "Blue Lemon".
It was a great Saturday.

Flowers, Just Because

I came home from helping out at the school to a wonderful surprise!
Daddy and Grant made these fun hearts.

Daddy said it was "Just because!"
We talked and realized that we both couldn't remember the last time Daddy got me flowers.
They are such beautiful flowers!
I love them.
It's nice to be appreciated for the things I do.

Full - Filled Day

I thought today would be a more restful day.
But the day was completely filled.
After getting the kids off to school, I came home to eat breakfast.
I was off again to help out at the school for an hour and a half doing baggie books.
I stopped off at the dentist to drop of paperwork for our upcoming appointments.
James read to me for a bit.
Grant reviewed his letters, shapes and colors with me.
After making lunch, I took James to the store to pick up some "Hershey's Kisses" so he could have something for the letter "K" this week to show-and-tell.
After dropping James at school, I came home to snuggle in bed with Daddy while we watched a movie.
Off to the chiropractor I went and then time to pick up the kids from school.
After doing a few dishes, I then picked up Joyanne from school.
We got started on dinner and then I picked up Noah from his Science club.
Joyanne worked on dinner and I took off for my "Reflections" Women's Chorus.
Returning home for dinner, I then took Joyanne to her Young Women's Basketball.

I had a full day, but it was full of good activities.
It was a HAPPY DAY!

Stuffy nose, Queasy stomach

Daddy lay in bed all morning with a queasy stomach and a stuffy head and nose.
Poor guy!
But he was able to go work still.
Half way through the day, I began sneezing and tonight it's my stomach that's queasy.

Grant was pretty fussy all day.
Finally at 5p.m. he'd had enough and took an hour nap.
Which kept him up later at night watching "Chuggington".
Hiram and Jaden enjoyed their first of their 8 week Karate class.
They are learning some great discipline.
Noah loves playing basketball and practiced well tonight.
He likes to make crazy hair styles after his showers.

This week has seemed to fly on by.
